Puppy carePreparing for the first days at home
Before bringing a puppy home, prepare one quiet area with the food, supplies and routine recommended for that puppy. Keep the first days calm and consistent rather than introducing too many new places and people at once.
Ask about the puppy’s current feeding schedule, sleep routine and veterinary records. Arrange your own veterinary appointment and keep the breeder’s information nearby in case questions come up during the adjustment.
Behind the scenesWhat happens before a litter arrives
Preparation begins long before the puppies are born. We follow the mother closely, prepare a safe area for delivery and newborn care, and make sure essential supplies are within reach.
Once the puppies arrive, the work becomes round-the-clock observation: watching nursing, warmth, weight and the mother’s comfort while each tiny personality begins to appear.
Frenchie knowledgeUnderstanding colors, coats and DNA
DNA testing can help identify inherited color, pattern and coat traits. We use confirmed results to describe our dogs and pairings, and we update puppy information as individual results arrive.
Genetics are only part of the picture. Temperament, health, development and the puppy’s individual personality matter just as much when helping a family learn about a puppy.
